Olympic Watch, in cooperation with the Lungta association, invites its Czech-based supporters and their friends to a public gathering

Candlelight for Tenzin Delek Rinpoche

taking place at Prague's Betlemske square on Tuesday March 9, 2004, 6:00pm
and simultaneously in Brno, Ostrava, and several smaller Czech towns

0The event is part of a worldwide campaign to save Tenzin Delek Rinpoche, a Tibetan Buddhist leader sentenced to death in a closed and most likely politically motivate trial in China.

By lighting a candle you will express support to Tenzin Delek Rinpoche and the requests for the commutation of his death penalty and a new, fair trial for the Tibetan political prisoner. You will hear a statement on the case and receive postcards that you can send to the Chinese authorities and the President of the EU Commission. At the Prague event you will also be able to write Tenzin Delek Rinpoche your personal message or wish, which will be released on balloons in the colors of the Tibetan flag.
